Utility Questions and Turning On Utilities
Deposit
The following is the required deposit for turning on water, sewer, electric and gas:
- Residential $150.00
- Commercial $ 500.00
If you have a question or issue regarding your water bill or how to turn on your utilities, please contact City Hall.
Paying Your Bill
Utility bills are due by the 25th of each month. If not paid, a 10% late fee is added and cut off for non-payment is the 4th day of the following month.
The City of Castroville accepts cash, check, bank drafts and money orders. Payments can be mailed or delivered to City Hall during normal business hours or dropped in the night deposit slip, located at the front entrance.
The City also offers a 10% discount to senior citizens 65 and older.
Automatic Bill Pay
Give yourself some peace of mind and automate the payment of your water bill. All you have to do is print and complete Bank Drafting Application, add a voided check, and return to City Hall.
